For the fourth year in a row, Miami Valley Meals is hosting a Turkey Takeaway the day before Thanksgiving in which chef-made dinners will be available free of charge to residents in need.
This distribution event is drive-through style and meals will be given on a first-come, first-served basis. Simply stop by one of the six distribution sites and we will give you meals to enjoy for the Thanksgiving holiday.
This is event is kindly sponsored by the Feast of Giving and made possible with partnership from University of Dayton, Trotwood-Madison High School, the City of Trotwood, Dayton Young Black Professionals, Fairborn Phoenix Foundation, Have a Gay Day, Omega Baptist Church, E.J. Brown Middle School, Dayton Cooks, and the Foodbank Inc.

Thanksgiving meals will be distributed at the following locations on Wednesday, November 22, 2023:
We will have both single-serving and multi-serving half-pan meals available. Meals will include pre-sliced turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, green bean casserole, stuffing/dressing, and a dessert on the side. Items subject to change based on availability.
All meals will be frozen and will need to be reheated in an oven.
The Omega Baptist Church and E.J. Brown Middle School sites will also be handing out winter essentials kits in addition to the meals.
Yes! Meals are available first-come, first-served to any individuals and families in need of a holiday meal.
No, simply drive up and we will hand you meals for your household.
No. This event is intended for individuals and family households in need of a holiday meal.
Yes! Visit our volunteer page to sign up for an available shift. Both meal prep and distribution assistance shifts will be available. Be sure to check frequently for new shifts or updates.
