Miami Valley Meals distributes meals through existing nonprofits serving those experiencing food insecurity. Our meals are meant to supplement (not replace) our partners' food security efforts. Once a partner is onboarded, the organization sets an appointment, then picks up the meals from our headquarters to distribute to low income adults and families in their communities.

Who is eligible?

Nonprofit organizations (501c3) that serve those experiencing food insecurity are eligible to receive meals from Miami Valley Meals. All new distribution partners must complete an onboarding process and meet minimum food safety requirements for meal storage (freezer space and one team member with food safety certification), as well as complete bi-annual surveys about your program.

Can I order meals for myself or a family member?

Unfortunately, our meal program is not set up for individual service. We instead focus our efforts on providing meals to qualified organizations, who then distribute meals, free of charge, to individuals and families.

When in doubt, you can call the United Way Help Link by dialing 211, and a representative can help connect you to resources in your neighborhood.

What makes a meal?

All single-serving chef-prepared meals include an entrée, a side, and a dessert. These hearty meals are freshly prepared and kept frozen at our facility. We offer single-serving meals and half-pan family meals, and can accommodate requests for vegetarian, vegan, or culturally-relevant meals on a case-by-case basis.
