We are looking to form ongoing partnerships with:
One-time donations are also accepted.
Our chefs cook in large batches (100-500 servings per batch), so bulk donations are preferred and much appreciated.
Fresh, frozen, or pre-cooked meats.
Our most wished for proteins are chicken, beef, and pork. No fish or seafood, please.
Fresh or frozen vegetables. There are no such things as 'ugly' vegetables in the MVM kitchen. We can put them to good use!
Our most wished for items include: peppers, cabbage, celery, onions, carrots, broccoli, tomatoes, potatoes, spinach, squash, apples, lemons, limes, and fresh herbs.
Canned, bagged, or jarred goods that are shelf-stable.
Our most wished for items include: bulk rice, pasta, macaroni, dried herbs and spices, flour, sugar, cake mix, cooking oil, #10 cans of vegetables, fruit, pudding, and pie filling, and small cans with pull-tabs (used for non-perishable snack packs).
Our most wished for items include: milk, cream, cheese, sour cream, yogurt, and eggs.

Yes, we can pick up donations of 100 pounds or more, if we have staff available and it is within a reasonable distance from downtown Dayton. Please call us ahead of time at 937-938-7141 to discuss in detail.
Rest assured—the Bill Emerson Act protects food donors from liabilities with their food donations. Learn more on the USDA website here. Our culinary team is also ServSafe certified and trained on food safety handling, so your donations will be in good hands.
