Together we raised more than $31,000 to support Miami Valley Meals' mission to transform donated food into nutritious meals for those experiencing food insecurity across the Miami Valley.
There are endless people to thank for this amazing turnout, most notably our 12 amazing chefs, our generous sponsors, our volunteers, staff, and vendors, and each and every one of you who attended or shared.
The room was buzzing with excitement all night long, and we witnessed an amazing final showdown between our top two chefs: Gerald Richardson of Rich Taste Catering (People's Choice and Judge's Choice Winner) and Gavin St. Denis of Corner Kitchen (Runner-up People's Choice Winner), with chef Gavin earning the title of Diced in Dayton 2023 Champion.

Chef Gavin St. Denis was voted as the 2nd place People’s Choice winner. He competed against Chef Gerald Richardson in the final round cook-off and his dish was ultimately chosen as the winner, earning him the title of Diced in Dayton 2023 Champion.
Gerald was voted as both the People’s Choice winner and Judge’s Choice winner. He competed against Gavin in the final round cook-off.

Sample tastes from your favorite local chefs and support a great cause at the Diced in Dayton Chef’s Challenge. Diced in Dayton is an interactive, food-filled event that showcases and celebrates the creativity of local chefs as they craft unique dishes from a set of mystery ingredients. Participating chefs must meet the challenge that MVM chefs face each day: how to transform unpredictable ingredients into something new and delicious. Guests will delight in the ingenuity and flavor of the dishes while learning about what Miami Valley Meals does to help those who are food insecure in our community. At the end of the night, one chef will be named champion.
Featuring chefs from Corner Kitchen, The Golden Lamb, Kung Fu BBQ, De’Lish Cafe, Blind Dogs, Rich Taste Catering, redBerry, Bella Sorella Pizza Co, Creative Delights Catering, Napales, Ellie's Restaurant, and Greek Street. You won’t want to miss this chance to enjoy great food for a great cause at the one-and-only Diced in Dayton. This is a 21+ event.

Diced in Dayton will be held at Top of the Market in the ballroom on Tuesday, September 19, beginning at 6:00 pm. VIP ticket holders will have early access at 5:30 pm.
During the event, participating chefs will be serving up their dishes to guests in a casual format. Guests can wander through the space, sample as many dishes as they'd like, and vote for their favorite. The top two chefs will then compete in a live cook-off and judges will decide the final winner. A cash bar will be open throughout the night, and raffle prizes will be available to win.
This event is 21 and up.
